Use these docs with an AI assistant
Connect your AI assistant to these docs and it can look things up while it walks you through installing and running Pepper. The connection uses MCP, the standard way an assistant plugs into an outside source of pages and tools. Tools that don't speak MCP can read every page as plain Markdown instead, the text format these docs are written in.
Give your assistant the MCP address for these docs, https://docs.heypepper.ai/api/mcp. The docs themselves are at
docs.heypepper.ai. Assistants read the docs through this address without signing in.
They cannot change them.
If you have Pepper's code, you can also run the docs locally: cd website && npm install && npm run dev, then use
http://localhost:3000/api/mcp as the address.

The assistant gets these tools:

Never paste a password, API key or token into an AI chat. When a step asks for one, type it into the .env
file or the hidden prompt yourself. This docs connection can't see your Mac or your keys. What else your
assistant can reach depends on its own tools and permissions.

Tech stack
Pepper runs on one always-on Mac. Apart from calls to Claude, the model Pepper uses, nothing leaves that Mac unless you've connected a service that needs it.
